Step One: Cut dormant scions, either in late winter or after scions have hardened off in mid to late summer, from desired cultivar parent plants. Take about a four to six inch cutting that contains two to three buds. Place the cuttings in a fungicide-dampened paper towel, put in a Ziplock bag and place in a refrigerator until time for use. Be sure to label the bag!
